acer warrantee

I'm just about ready to finally buy one of these little netbooks (I'm giving this six cell version another couple days to appear) but one thing has been bothering me

Since the bios failing is such a common problem, I was wondering if anyone has found out (I tried calling Acer, but all I got was a please whole with not even Muzak) if re-flashing the BIOS with the USB key in anyway kills the warranty

 

At work part of my job is doing returns and Ive returned a few normal laptops as well as monitors to Acer and have never had any problems, if it happens just tell them it won't boot and pretend like you don't know why I find that's the easiest way to deal with returns people at manufacturers. Unfortunately I'm not sure if Acer offers a cross ship type return and when you do a regular return with them it takes a while to get your replacement/repaired unit

Unfortunately as far as their official policy goes, I have no Idea.
