Hi, I've found recently an AAO D250.
Rapidily, I partitioned disk and installed also Mandriva Linux 2009.1
I've found fan somewhat nosiy. So I tried to use acerfand and acerhdf with no success.
Then I upgrade to latest BIOS version 1.07.

But I've found that both on Linux and on Windows always is reported the same temperature: 27 ºC.

Also, on Windows there is a message complaining on Event Viewer:

\Device\ACPIEC: The embedded controller (EC) hardware returned data when none was requested. This may indicate that the BIOS is incorectly trying to access the EC without syncronizing with the OS. The data is being ignored.

is it hardware problem, is is a fatal error, can that problem damage the hardware?

    Thanks in advance!
