    Hi

I am having the problem, that when I patch my ACPIEC.sys in order not to get all the errors in my syslog, my computer no longer "finds" my battery.

It dosnt mean that my computer does not run without power plugged in, but it does mean that XP does not know (nor show me) how much power is left in the battery. It just shows the "plugged in" icon on the taskbar. This also means that XP does not go to sleep when the power is getting low...

    I am using a AA1 A110 with 8MB SSD btw.

Besides that issue - both a1ctl and AA1FanControl works fine. I do prefer the AA1FanControl though, as a1ctl has a tendency to make small 5 sec boosts where the fan goes to VERY noisy - where AA1FanControl dosent do this.

    Regards

Did you patch your own version of acpiec.sys or use a pre-patched version supplied by someone else?

I seem to recall having this problem with with acpiec.sys supplied by someone else and it went away when I did the patching myself using a hex editor. This version is working fine on 4 different AA1s, to my knowledge.

I will attach a copy of my own working version of acpiec.sys when I get home later today. PM me in case I forget!

Never mind a1ctl patches acpiec.sys when you start it. The a1ctl was the cause of the problem, now fixed after using unpatch acpiec.sys located in configure in a1ctl program. A1ctl now deleted i only downloaded it to underclock my aao.
    Thanks for your time Ronime

The way I did it was to patch it with a1ctl.

I'd like very much to have a patched version that works!

Yeah, a1ctl messed up my acpiec.sys too, one of the reasons why I prefer A1FanControl and my own version of acpiec.sys.

If you are handy with a hex editor then you can modify your own version, failing that I will post up my own patched version later today, when I get home from work.

I'd really like to have a copy of yours, as I am far from confident with a HEX editor ;-)

The file version on my AA1 is reported as "5.1.2600.0 (xpclient.010817-1148)" (attached).

    Hi,
I'm a bit of a noob, and my 120gb AOA150AW running XP, also doesn't recognise the battery.
Can any one please spell out how to fix this.
Saw the previous sys file, but not a clue what to do.

    Really appreciate any help.
