Acronis Disk Director 11

    Good evening, I'm looking for some advice and help please. I have just loaded Acronis Disk Director 11 onto my daughters Aspire 5310 to adjust the size of her C drive partition but whilst the program runs ok it doesn't actually change the drive size or merge the drives. Can anyone suggest what I could do? The program works ok on my XP Aspire One. Do I need to log in as administrator? if so how do I do this as it is only her that is a user, thanks in advance.
