Add/Remove application problem

    Hi , AAO buddies ,
    I am new in Linux,
    I brought a AAO , and opened the right click menu function,
    I want to add some application to my AAO,
    when enter the add/remove application function and input my password ,
    the AAO keep loading for a long time and no response,
    I hv connected to internet already !
    I can use FireFox access internet~~
    why ?
    anyone tell me ? thx

    Try running the application from a terminal (the command is 'pirut'). You will then get any errors reported to the terminal, and can copy and paste them in here so we can see if there's a problem.
