Add/Remove software issue

    Hi, I have the advanced menu enabled,
    However when i go to 'Add/Remove software' it asks for my root password, i enter it (correctly) and then the window closes...and nothing happens.
    So is there a solution to this or another way to get to 'Add/Remove software'?

    Google search "cCleaner" without the quotes. Download and install the FREE cCleaner program. This is an excellent cleaner program that will remove built up temp files, browser history, etc. It also has a section called TOOLS that is a better uninstaller than the one built into Windows. I use the cleaner part as well as the uninstaller part on my AAO all the time.
