Ok so i have updated mplayer as described in a post on here, i have also successfully installed sMplayer.

However when i try to replace "Pdvdlinux" in the group-app.xml file with "smplayer" save and restart i get no icon where media master used to be. I have done it once before with the skype installation and it worked a treat but now nothing.

Any help to replace the media master is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hey, that's my problem ;)
But I found the solution: try rpmfusion-smplayer.desktop instead.

Thanks for inspiring to search again....

The names in Thunar are not the names of the system. You can find them in the terminal (personal I use mc for looking for files in the terminal).

Use desktop search usually to get exact name and address of the application ;)
