Aircrack-ng-1.0-rc1

In Linpus I can install version 0.9.3 with the package manager.
But is there any way to install Aircrack-ng-1.0-rc1 ?
I can download and extract the tar.gz file, but how do I install it?
In the tutorial the commands make en make install are mentioned, but these are not known by Linpus?

 

I did a yum install make after which I could use the make/make install commands.
But I only get errors...
Installed GCC and checked if openssl was installed.
But still errors during make & make install.

 

OK, got it running.

Downloaded the files from the homepage.
Extracted the files.
Installed GCC and openssl-devel (built-in package manager).
Did a yum install make.
Then did make & make install.

 

how does it run, any problems?

 

I'm going to install this and check it out, I've been seriously considering it for a while. and I'm glad you posted.

The injection-part does not work with standard wifi-drivers...

 

i noticed that, can we get madwifi to work ? any guides?

 

I installed BackTrack 3 on a USB stick and boot this when I need a working aircrack-ng (SpoonWEP).

 

so is anyone getting this to work or not.

i can't get it w2orking and i tried several differnt things. i have not tried wifi driver changes tho.

so help out, lets get this useful tool working, so we can finally use wifi where-ever we are instead of limited areas :twisted:

 

Hi,
I use the aircrack-ng version available in the "add/remove".
Then, open a console session in root:
and type:
airmon-ng stop ath0
airmon-ng start wifi0
don't worry about a couple of error message.
airodump-ng --write file-name ath%d0
refer to ath%d0 as the adapter.
For injection, I tryed and it worked but don't inject too fast or the AA1 freeze.
