With the various info I got from different forums, I pathched my AppleHDA.kext to work on my Aspire One.
my starting point is based on the ALC269 testing pack from IPIS (EEEPC) wikidot site.

    What is working?
    Speakers - volume and mute.
Headphone - switching works, volume and mute.
Front Mic - works, with levels control but kind of noisy, need to get the DSP going.
    Shutdown - works without panic.
    Sleep - AAO don't sleep..lol

    Issues to solve..
Did not really test much as I the patched it last night.
External Mic - not tested, don't have a mic to test with.
    IChat don't work ..
I do get errors message in the log, but it didn't seem to bother anything else.

Kext is based on 10.5.5 , will try the same patch with 10.5.6.
    HDAenabler is still needed.

Anyone know how to get rid of the error message??

    download from here

internal mic works well, added in some dsp function but have no idea if it works..
Test on Speech and Audacity, it is noisy but works.
iChat don't work with internal mic.
Can anyone test the external mic? I am trying to fix it blindly.

I repeat ... external mic is not working.
Internal is working (with control) but not in ichat.
    Everything else is working.

    I use vanilla kernel

Just plug headphones to the line in. Not the best mic you can have, but it works.

Installed these two Kext to my Acer One with XXX 10.5.6, now, no built-in devices show up in my Sound Preference Panel anymore...

Anyone else experience this? Now, I got no sound in or out...

Someone help? I can at least get sound out perfectly, and I was only looking to get my built-in mic working...

    Help~ Please.
    Thanks.

This actually screwed up my sound resulting for being muted and my headphones didn't work so I went back to original ones provided by diablo.

Is this driver not working with 10.5.6? I would love to have some volume control on the internal mic.

I don't mind putting some effort into patching this driver for 10.5.6, but I don't know where to start.. Can somebody give me some starting pointers?

    Thanks!
