Why is it so hard to get Android programming on Linux? It was alot easier setting it up on Windows and yet Android (is sort of ) Linux?

Yes, android is based on the linux kernel.
Android is advancing at a tremendous rate due to "money". Big money is made in the phone/tablets/apps departments.
Linux development is slow because there is little monetary incentives.

Want Android on your netbook? I do.

My D250s primary OS is now Android-x86. Downloaded from the Android-x86 site. There are some down sides though. Any app or game you download seems to require x86 compatibility. I havent been able to install flash and due to the limitations on hardware support there aren't many games that will function properly. I have found that It's very fast and the battery lifetime is very acceptable though.
