Are you using Windows or Linux? For Windows I would recommend AVG, for Linux I would not bother using an antivirus program.

AVG, aVast!, or Avira AntiVir. They have a tendency to leapfrog each other depending on the year, but they are all good and somewhat different.

This thread: http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7063 (which I'd have thought your search would have shown up) provides useful information on the lack of requirement for antivirus under Linux.

Summary: Linux viruses are very rare and can't do much damage because of Linux' security model. Against that, Acer have messed around with the usual Linux security model - but unless such foolish messing around becomes a regular feature of how manufacturers distribute Linux, the risks remain pretty small. It's not worth virus writers learning Linux and writing viruses for it when there are hundreds of thousands of easy Microsoft targets out there to play with instead.

I have no Linux-focused antivirus on any of my machines; I do have ClamAV running on one machine but that handles server functions on my home network, and ClamAV is there to protect any Windows machines which connect to it. Unless you're planning on running your Aspire One as a server, it's not likely to be worth the hassle and performance hit of running AV software under Linux.

Oops, I missed that part. In that case, no, these are for Windows.
