Do you use Windows XP or Linpus Linux Lite ?
Do you see yourself when you're recording it ?
What media player are you using to open the video ?

any update on this problem? same thing is happening to my webcam, opens ok, but no display, just a mottled grey image, though if you click to take a pic, it will save one in a folder though showing nothing on screen!

running linpus, only thing i've done is an update a few days ago, and also installed an rpm to switch between linpus and xfce desktop, though don't know if there is a connection as never tried the webcam till today. webcam displays fine on puppy linux booted from usb using luvcview.

if there's no fix available, anyone know how to reinstall the linpus webcam software/drivers? or any other ideas welcome :)

hi, thanks for reply. i decided to use the recovery cd and the webcam is now working again. i don't know if it was an update that caused the fault but i'm not taking the chance and leaving the updates well alone, which will save me around the two and half hours it took before!

i use ubuntu on my main pc, but am waiting till the netbook remix fully supports the acer hardware before i try it on my one, hopefully won't have long to wait. still, the linpus boot up speed makes it so useable at the moment:)
