Pardon me if this is an ignorant comment. From what I know, the Mac is not vulnerable to viruses. Our tech in the office said that most viruses are designed to attack PC type computers but Mac which is running on its firmware cannot be attacked. Of course, there is that word Most which means majority but with some exceptions. But I still have to hear a Mac being attacked by a virus.

I remember back in the day when Apple was making their little comeback people were saying that viruses did not happen in macs. I remember not believing it, and then someone explaining it to me, and then I did believe it. Then I thought about it some more and realized it did not make sense, and now I am back to square one. I guess this is proof that I was right all along.

You are much better off using something like SOPHOS on a Mac.

Viruses don't generally happen with any computer. Not as often as people believe anyway. The computer virus is actually only one type of malware and is rare by comparison to other malicious software in the category.
