I cannot find any info on installing the Windows 7 on the D250 on this forum.

Will Windows 7 Home Premium pick up all the necessary drivers?

Or I need to go to Acer support site to get other things?

    Thanks!

it will work just fine with the drivers that come with Windows 7, along with the ones that will come down from Windows Update. You can do some hunting and get some newer drivers, but there's no noticeable benefit for it.

Windows 7 installs all the nessessary drivers for you. Albeit, basic ones. Yesterday, Windows Update installed the actual drivers for the LAN and Wireless. I noticed it's using MS drivers for camera and touch pad. I do not have gestures anymore with the MS drivers. Anyone else? I'm sure in time we'll have better drivers for it. Acer Netbook are really popular now.

EDIT: Here's the DEAL! Check the driver recovery disc you made before installing Windows 7! It lists the NAME of your camera and touch pad, etc. The D250 has 3 camera and 2 touch pad drivers. This way you KNOW which one(s) you have in your Netbook. Go to Acer's Support site and download the Camera, Touch pad, AND the SOUND driver.

Using MS's sound driver works, but when I did Video chat I had no sound even though my Audio/Camera in MS messenger setup showed everything working correctly. I installed the Camera driver first, that didn't fix the problem, but when I installed the Audio drivers, problem solved. Also, installed the touchpad drivers and now I have full gestures working! And much better touchpad controls too!

Note: Check the device manager -- the camera driver needed to be manually updated after installing the driver software.
