I am trying to decide if I should get a 6600 or 7800 mAh battery, the 7800 is only ten bucks more

What I need to know is how big the things are, the site doesn't tell me that. Also, how long would the batteries last, I could justify the size and the need to purchase a new bag if the battery gets me through a school day and then have some juice left over to do work around the house.

The 6600 mAh is quite good. Gives me about 8-9 hours battery and sticks out by 1.5cm at the back and at the bottom with a dip in the middle. Adds a bit of weight to the One but not as much at the 7800. It also serves as a good handle for flicking the one up into your hand. The choice really is whether you warrant the extra hour or so of battery live over the 6600 and the extra weight.

I get 7 hours and 55 minutes with a 9 cell battery using Ubuntu 8.04. I keep a log and that is a good average. My battery, that I got on EBAY from Hong Kong looks like it has 3 groups of 3 cells and they are complete cylindrically in form from left to right. One cylinder sticks out the back the other goes down and becomes the back rest. This puts the AAO on a slight angle and I like that. My AAO is now just shy of 3 pounds. Oh, and the cell sticking out the back is a great grip to hold onto.

Hi! I am an AOA110 (limpus linux with 8GB SSD model) user. Just recentry I overwrite OS from original Limpus linux to Ubuntu 8.10 and now enjoy Aspire one life ! By the way, is there any problem with a 9 cell battry with AOA110 ( Ubuntu 8.10 version )? There are many reports saying that , in case of using more than a 6 cell battery with a Windows XP installed HDD model such as AOA150, BIOS should be upgrade. Also some reports saying that a 9 cell battery does not work well with a Windows XP installed HDD model. According to the reports on the web site, problem is that unable to charge fully.

My one is AOA110 with Ubuntu 8.10 post-installed version. Do you think any problem with a 6 or 9 cell battery? Please advise !
