I cannot get Ubuntu to get my wireless to work no matter what. So, I use Linpus.

I like chatting in yahoo chat rooms and I think thats the only chat client that works for Linux.. I have a version that works in Linpus, However I cannot get the voice to work. Anybody use Gyachi in Linups?

If anybody cares, I did find a way to make gyachi work. Sign up at pbone.com and use their repositories. download gyachi and the alsa codecs. THEN, go to yahaven.NET (not .com, trust me) and find the page that says "yahaven in linux" grab the tssoft and acm files listed there. That will get gyachi voice to work.

I finally go it to work but Gyachi sucks bad. It will not mute. After talking with many users this is normal in Gyachi. SO, I decided to install VirtualBox as described in Macles blogspot. Works perfectly. Now I have a mini-windows running INSIDE Linpus and I can use whatever chat client I want.

Since no one responded to my question in the first place I won't go over it step by step. If you need help, just let me know and I will respond.

    Thanks,

    Lance
