Anyone tryed iPC X-DL?

Hi all,
I am trying to install iPC X-DL on my one atm, because they anounced that the Wlan and other stuff should work rite out of the box, is there anyone who have tryd it?

It takes about 1 houre to install it, so I will sitt down and have dinner then come back here with the result of the install

This one totaly worked.. Rite out of the box it sais it has a new airport card, just needed Kismac to locate the connecction

It was totaly worth the hour of installing

 

I would be more worried about the AAO temperatures instead of trying to save energy disabling the fan.

My aspire one is getting hottier on OSX, and i live on a hot country (Mexico) :?

 

Hmmm, that is weard, havent noticed anything on my AAO..

But, on my install I didnt get the sound to work....

I allso installed it on an external disk.. So that can reduse some heat..

 

Actually it sounds gr8 for me!
Can you tell me what things you checked when u installed???

For the sound try go to system preferences.

Go to System Preferences >> Sound >> Output >> and make sure that "Internal Speaker" is chosen

Aparently it sounds like iPC is the best distro for AOA because of the working wifi and possible hibernation!

I checked rt1000 for regular network, ar5700eg for wlan, IO8022Family.kext and all the apps. Because it was only for testing, but now I regret that I didnt install the sound driver and some other stuff, because I cant get the sound to work.

There is no sound hardware installed. But Ive tryed to install it manualy, but no go. Is there anyone who have the newest sound drivers??

 

You didnt check the intel gma 950?

No, I didnt check any of those.. I can see later if I have the time to make a fresh install and make a step by step tuto on this install.. I havent seen any tutos on a fresh install of this version..

Cant promis pictures tho, since I dont have any camera and equptment for doing it.. But I might get my hand on some..

if you have the WIFI card working , it would be great if ou upload and share that kext "8IO8022Family.kext " .

are you able to do it ?

I did not sucess to install IPC-DL on my AAO-D150 , does not start ... I have iDeneb running , but with no WIFI

I am about to start it, just waiting for something to be finished on it atm..

 

If anyone is still interested, here is the driver. I used pacifist to get it off of the iPC X-DL dmg. I have not had much luck with it after about five attempts, although I'm most likely just missing something. (I simply used the Kext Helper to install it on my iatkos install and ran a KisMAC scan from there after doing a permissions repair.) My computer does say that I have a card installed, it just can't find any networks.
