Just curious if anyone has been successful replacing NetworkManager with WICD on their AAO running Linpus and if so, how?

P.S. Please don't let this thread turn into a "why would you want to do that" or "one is better than the other" debate. Just looking for info.

    Thanks in advance.

Not on Linpus, but I finally got it going on Ubuntu. There were a few adventures along the way but it seems stable now.

I suppose if there's a "why do you want to do that?" question it's because under Ubuntu the network manager wants the keyring password before connecting after boot, which is why I went to the effort of installing wicd there; on Linpus it doesn't do that, it seems to pretty much just work as you'd expect. :)
