AO D255 Lockup

    Anyone having trouble with the new D255 Locking up. I am on my second one and having the same problem of locking up randomly.

    Started off right from the bat. First thing I tried when I got it all started up was to burn the restore discs and it locked up. Returned that one got a new one, same thing. Acer support had me do the alt-f10 thing. Was able to burn the discs but now it still will randomly freeze up.

    i purchased a d255 n550 only 3 days ago. went back home opened the thing - swapped the hdd - win7 ultimate and ubuntu on. no probs at all.

    i believe it is win7 starter. i did a little test and installed win7 premium and it worked great. reinstalled win7 starter and it kept freezing. i don't think starter supports dual core very well.......
