New to the forum. I will say I'm damn glad I found it! :D

I only have concern on my AO. Ever since I got it, the USB port of the left side closest to the external VGA port will not recognize anything. The one next to it will, and so will the one on the right side as well.

Any one else have this issue? I went to the Acer site to check for updates, nada.

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a hardware issue. The USB ports on the left side of the machine near the VGA port are part of the mainboard. If it was the daughterboard you could replace it, but the mainboard's are harder to come by. I'd suggest calling Acer and logging it in for warranty repair if you still have warranty.

Thank sucks. If I have to send this in and not have it for 2 weeks or so. I can deal with the 1 USB out of commission.

    Thanks for the help

I just had another thought, I had a PCI USB card in a PC once that did something similar, turns out the contacts were dirty as hell, probably corrosion. I grabbed the missus' emory board (the one she uses for her finger nails) and used it to buff the contacts clean, it was a tight fit but it eventually got the contacts clean and the USB ports working again. So you could try that if you want.
