AO533 Win 7 Starter - I am trying to use a Magic-Pro mini keyboard, touch pad, laser pointer. It works flawlessly with either a BT dongle or when the 533 is restored to factory spec. When restored to factory spec Bluetooth works fine. It DOES have built-in BT. It does NOT have a BT switch. After installing either Java, Flash player for Firefox, or TrendMicro Titanium 2010, AND after one of/each of those go through independent updates, BT vanishes as if it is not physically present or has ever been present. Removal of any/all of the above mentioned software does not return the BT mod, only an OS restore. This behavior is also present even if no BT devices are paired prior to malfunctioning. I have tried reinstalling the Hon Hai BT 3.0 2046 software from the Applications restore, Bios updates, Broadcomm updates, Foxconn, Atheros updates. I have tried checking the registry, services, hidden devices, removing the BT stack, reinstalling the BT stack. I have restored it a million times with exactly the same behavior on two separate 533's. I have checked the Trend is not blocking it as far as I can tell. I have tried upgrading to Win 7 Ultimate and repeating all of the above. I have tried updating the Windows Active sync/Windows Mobile (upon someone elses suggestion). Does ANYONE have any ideas? I do not want to have to restore the bloomin thing AGAIN for each of the 3 programs (allowing each to update on it's own in +/- 24hrs each) to find out which it is. While I can change Anti-Virus, no java or flash is not an option. Please do not tell me to buy a dongle.. I paid extra for the BT and need the USB ports. I have 20 years of professional hardware support and dev but I am at wits end. AAO support says to restore and because it works there, without any added software or updates, then it is not their issue.
