You have to run your internal hard drive externally one time to get it to work, the only way to do this is to replace your inernal hard drive with your external drive to run it usb, or if you have a sata to usb converter you would not have to switch hard drives.

Don't You think there are easier methods for dual/triple boot nowadays?
I think You should update Your tutorial and make another topic about it.

Since there is new nbi 8.4pre there is no need to worry about windows partition. Nbi before killed win partition now it's different story thanks for meklort work. You don't need any soft like easybsd even.

I'm testing 100 times different nbi and nbm and still having my old win7 partition and same mac os 10.6... partition. I need to reinstall it for those test so often that there is no time to open my ao751h and swap discs, there is no need. You can keep Your partiton with programs and files and settings untouched becouse USB nbi 8.3rc5 snowleopard is so nice and don't erase any of Your data during reinstalation. For getting back Your win partition You need win install disc and set disc and partion active commands. Also win7 is much more efectiv using gma500 than xp so it's really worth to have it as second system with proper graphic. You can easly transport files from w7 to sl and I do it often.

checked twice and sound with nbi 8.4pre and 10.6.0 is much more better than with 10.6.2 - don't know how to explain that. Still no success with 10.3 and 8.4rc1

With sound it's again same... Can't find reason why freshly after insall quality is better.

Hi i bought a dw 1390 wireless card and i put them on my ao751h, but airport no recognize the card... why ?

I didn't hear that anyone was succesful at connecting any other wifi card with ao751h. Use wifi USB bundle for 10$ like me.

Recently I have been trying to update Java and Xcode with Software Update. But I met kernel panic on updating.
I look for the reason why kernel panic happen when I updates these tools.

Any Idea?

Use USB pendrive with 0.8.3rc5 to reinstall it from sl installer panel.

 

So far, this is my impression from this thread

1. QE/QL does not work (I think due to than new GMA500 support in NBI)
2. Internal Wireless does not work
3. Slower video playback ???

I like this for the high res screen. Just wondering if its worth shelling out.
I have a Asus 1000HE already but many OSX apps do not run well with the lower res screen.

 

I would go with the HP mini 311 or the asus 1201, you get better compatability with apple, better graphics, wifi works
the HP 311 has the same screen as the ao751 (11") but has better graphics chip( nvidia ion,is more compatable with apple)
the asus 1201 has a 12" screen with the same resolution 720p, and has the nvidia ion as well, but also sports a dual cpu atom, the ao751 and 311 have only a single

but price is usally a determining factor the 1201 is $450, the 311 is $400, the ao751 is $300

I wish I would have waited, I might trade in down the road

I had no idea that OSX works with the ION. Thanks you so much for these details.

 

What I belive(correct me if I'm wrong) is that that Ion is the same thing as the 9400m which is what the Macbook uses.

 

on 10.6.3 video is somehow better for me, dock animation works better and don't freeze much - I don't use it anyway for divx or hd vids becouse I prefere w7 subedit,
I realized on 10.6.3 I can finally use touch click and gestures...

 

Do you mind checking if QE/QL is enabled in 10.6.3 ? Easiest way I think is to install the Secret prefpane and look under system.

 

The Ion is like the 9400m. I had a macbook with that chip. AMAZING on World of Warcraft. Constant 60 fps. And that was just because I had it limited to the screen refresh rate. I'm sure it would have been higher if I turned that feature off. I totally want an HP Mini 311. It looks nice too.
