    Dear johnpro112

we can't place any files here... asked admin.
I was searching for other source for this AppleIntelPIIATA.kext but I can't find other one
I could mail You with it, please contact me via forum if You want that.
I had idea of placing whole USB hd image with nbm 0.8.3rc5 but how to make it and where to place it without any problems?

Hmm, I have everything working fine, now broogie thanks but whenever I'm on the computer for a while on battery it crashes and I get the power sign with the "Restart your computer."
I think it might be because I haven't installed the netbook bootmaker on the computer, but everytime I install it when I power back up i get the no entry sign with the gray spiner.

I'm going to try and recopy all the AppleIntellPLLAXA.kext's and see if that works

    Dear Prombar

Looks like having battery on any update or even Mail inbox import is causing KP(this grey shit). Just remove it for any update or sensitive stuff...

    @Brogie
Yeah that's what I thought, but even was I not installing any updates or anything like that I got the KP, but it's okay.
My main concern is that everytime I install netbookboomaker on my harddrive for the computer with OSX when I boot up it get a no entry sign. Anyone know what that's about?

I'm actully writing this on OSX I use my ipod touch to put the internet on my computer, if anyone wants to know how you download that a program for your mac called PdaNet and on Cydia (On a jailbroken ipod touch) download a app of the same name. Then the rest is self-explanatory, and it's pretty easy to do.

I've tried Parallels before - it's a no go, as the Atom processor does not have processor virtualisation support in it's hardware like the Core 2 Duo etc has. Your pretty much then limited to VMWare Fusion, which I find crashes under SL on my AOD250, but I did have running once under iAtkos V7 on my AOA150. Seems to be pot luck on whether it will run.

Sound card can work natively in 10.6.3, it just needs simple DSDT patching + AppleHda kext from 10.6.2.

I think the information posted here is bit obsolete, especially 0.8.3 and the dell mini 10 stuff.

I found out that NetbooInstaller 0.8.4RC1 can even write to Mbr now. However, there is no NetbookCD0.84x.iso.

There is NetbookInstaller 0.8.4 RC1 and NetbookMaker0.8.4 RC1. You need a mac os x machine or hackintosh to prepare the small usb for the NetbootMaker.

    http://code.google.com/p/netbook-instal ... loads/list

VoodooHDA.text is the solution for sound. You just have to find the one that run in Snow Leopard

If you look at page one it talks about the new nbi. Page three is old and should be used for referance only.

Yes, you are right. 0.8.4rc1 is mess.

I am just wondering why No one tell us the 0.8.4rc1 is not useable for ao751h.

Yes, I am really appreciate the info here.

I am trying to install SL in my current XP drive by just partitioning it and installing in MBR drive. And not also using Mac OS X machine, nor hankintosh machine.

I am not going to write a tutorial, I am just documenting what I am doing "How to dual boot Windows XP and SL - MBR"

Re: AAO 751 Mac Os X Snow Leopard via NetbookInstaller USB

It seems that this card in not in the pci cards in System Profiler. It needs to see this card first. Hack the IOPCIFamily.kext. Once we put the right things in IOKitPersonalities, the card can be seen and would appear in PCI Cards in System Profiler.

We need to findout the IOPCIMatch for Atheros AR5007EG. Atheros and ID and the wifi card

    Vendor Id: 0x168C
    Short Name: Atheros

    0x001c Chip Number: AR5007EG

This is needed in IO80211Family.kext and edit one AirPortAtheros, kext in the plugins. edit one of the entries among 25 entries, 24 would be the best.

    Put this: pci168c,001c

    http://www.pcidatabase.com/vendor_details.php?id=174

Still does not solve the problem. IOPCIFamily.kext must be working to show the PCI Cards in System Profiler.

OK. I remembered it now, what I did in my toshiba u400. IOPCMCIAFamily.kext with IOPCIFamily.kext as plugin

acer notebook has problem in pci

Yes, the sound is easy to solve.

    OK the guide.

    Sound - Realtek - VoodooHDA.kext
    1. Remove / Delete AppleHDA.text from the /System/Library/Extensions to make VoodooHDA.kext working in this machine.

    2. Drop VoodooHDA.kext (from Snow Dell 10 mentioned in the first page in this posting) in Kext Utility

Get Latest Kext Utility without signing into the forum
    http://www.kexts.com/view/129-kext_util ... te%29.html

    3. Do these commands in Terminal to properly update the Extensions

    sudo chown -R 0:0 /System/Library/Extensions

    sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions

    sudo kextcache -v 1 -t -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions

Note: You have to do the 3 commands in the terminal since SL would not update the Extensions.mkext automatically unlike in Leopard it does.

    4. Reboot

    5. Sound would be working!
