AOA 110-1588 Won't shutt off

    I've been looking over the site for a couple of days and haven't seen anything like my problem. It's simply this - the machine won't turn off. The green power light stays on unless the battery is removed or it's unplugged from the wall outlet. Holding the power button for 10, 30, 60 seconds does't do a thing. I think I have to flash the bios - I've done it before on a couple of other AOA's - but I can't get this one to turn off so that I can try that. The operating system is Windows XP. Frankly I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software issue.

    Any insight or suggestions will be greatfully received.
