How to use - download Boot disc and language DVD for example English, unpack and burn 2 iso, then boot from Boot disc and follow the process.

If you live in Skåne, Halland or Blekinge, just install the Danish version. You know that you really want to come back to the right kingdom - The one where you can buy beer without having to show ID and be allowed to drink it in public.

You download the rar files from the first set, then extract the first one of the rarfiles with WinRAR. It will automatically take the subsequent ones, and extract an iso file. Repeat for the second set (the language specific DVD's). You burn the first iso file to a CD, and the second isofile to a DVD.

Attach a USB DVD rom drive to the AAO A150, insert the CD, boot the CD, (turn on AAO A150, press F12 when the Bios bootscreen appears, and select the USB DVD drive) and follow the instructions. Insert the DVD afterwards when prompted.

Will these images work from a Bootable USB?

I've downloaded the first disk so far, and that works fine, just wondering about swapping to the second DVD image.


Also does this put the hidden partition back on the Netbook for future use?

 

Just letting you guys know, that NO it DOES NOT work from a bootable USB.
The first disc works ok at first, but then requests that you put the second dics in, and it ONLY search for a CD.


I suppose it could be made to work if you modify the first disc to search for a different drive.

 

I downloaded the disks, loaded everything to the new drive. The software told me to click okay and it would reboot, and nothing. The BIOS won't even load now. Ideas? I downloaded and installed the XP build, the old hard drive was fried. Ideas?

So do these iso's setup the hidden partition and the main partition just as if it was straight from the factory? I was about to order the disks from Acer and then noticed this post.

Any chance of getting hold of the iso-image by torrent or something like that instead ? Downloading 30+ packages through rapidshare is too much work if you're not a Premium member.

 

Yeah. Isn't it possible to find these files some other places on the internet? Rapidshare won't even let me download the files. Looking for the Danish version.

 

Hi, I have an AOA150 and was wondering if I would need my XP product key for this restore to work and if I were going to upgrade my hard drive to a fast one, could I then install XP with these isos.

Hey dude, can you get the recovery in spanish?

 

I have a A0531h Netbook that i need to reinstall and guess what - i didnt do the system recovery disk as I dont have an external DVD writer.

Can I download an ISO image and createa USB boot / installer disk for my Aspire One?

Can anyone help me please?

Spent hours searching for A0531H on various sites and can find nothing at all - mine is the XP variation! or was!
