AOA150 hdd fail

    I tried to install windows 7 ultimate X32 and an error message came up saying that the hard drive was going to fail so i can not install windows on to it (not word for word but close enough) so i stuck with windows XP I also run 'Seatools for windows' from Seagate and all the tests say the hdd is going to fail. is this good enough to get the hdd replaced under warranty from costco i havent lost any files (yet)

    i also ran Linux Mint 8 live USB and it says the hdd is going to fail imminently

    Most hard drives I handle in the course of business have at least a 3 year warranty. The AAO itself may only have one year, but if I was you, I'd definately be sending it back for warranty. Worst case scenario, ring Acer tech support, tell them what's going on, they'll either approve or deny warranty replacement.
