hi all, i have an aoa150-1635, i got it two years ago.. recently, i've developed a problem with usb transfer because the usb 2.0 controller burned out. as a result, file i/o with an external usb drive or flash drive are glacial (to say the least), since everything is falling back to usb 1.1. the lovely part is that while the 2.0 controller was burning out, it partially scrambled my terabyte drive, causing the loss of 90% of the files on it. oh joy.

google searches for a replacement motherboard turn up little to nothing, and a bunch of junk and search-engine-spam sites. calls to local shops get me varying quotes, all including labor, and they won't sell a motherboard to me for self-installation, which is frustrating because i haven't got all that much money, and besides why should i pay someone else to do what i can? i once tried to buy a part for my old acer monitor from acer, and learned that acer is obstinate about not selling parts.

does anyone know of a reliable online source for a replacement motherboard? any help appreciated, thanks!

sorry, i should have stated that ebay is not an option for me, because they require the usage of paypal pretty much exclusively, and i don't trust paypal because they ripped me off once..

    any NON-ebay resources? thanks!
