    i noticed that my AOD250 got an empty mini pci-e slot, i wonder if there is any 3g modem or at leat a pci-e bluetooth that could fit there.

    That slot on the D250 appears to accept mPCIe cards operating with both the PCI or USB busses. (Wifi, and Broadcom HD decoder cards are PCI bus. TV tuner, and 3G cards are USB bus devices).

    The only limitation with 3G is that you need to install a Sim Reader to work with the 3G card. Here is the how to;

    just make sure you update the bios if you want to use anything that's not usb based.

    Hello everyone. Ive got a aod250 and I want to do upgrade 3g internal modem. I have a internal card Huawei em770. I soldered sim slot card. I installed antenna. I made the switch to can active 3g module, the led is coming up. One problem I have. When I open the program Acer 3g conection manager it tell me no sim card detected or invalid. Someone can tell me where can be the problem. Thank you very much.
