Apache

    Is it possaible o run apche as a start up service.

    i looked for system-config-service but its not there

    Try and use lighttpd - it's like Apache but not a resource hog. I currently run it on my Zyxel NSA-220 (NAS box).

    I have the resources to run apache

    but i cant get it to start automatically on start up

    You could use ALT-F2 and run the command: xfce4-autostart-editor

    This will allow you to add the command to start apache in the autostart applications. Linpus from Acer doesn't follow the typical sysV way when booting up.
