I have the Advance Menu's enabled with XFCE desktop. I have installed the Mobile Partner application from Maccles. I have never used it; I have used GNOME PPP or WVDial for 3G connection via Huawei E160. I decided to use it a couple of days ago; the Mobile Partner icon is sat there in the Network menu, but if I try to launch 'nothing' happens. If I open a terminal & and login via su, I can launch mobile partner via 'source startMobilePartner' & it all works fine. At first I though this may be a simple permissions thing & chmod'ed to allow user & group execution. This still does not allow the application to start for the menu.

Can anyone suggest what is wrong here?

ps - has anyone got the nm-configuration-editor to work? It just quits immediately on my system.
