The fan runs wiser. That's what I've realized. I mean it acts faster when the CPU temps are beginning to rise and depending on the temp it adjusts the fan speed instantly. Here in Greece ambient temps are high during summer and this is critical.

Just to know, high temps are shrinking machines' lives... As I said before, I don't want it fried!

Also, the lid bug doesn't exist anymore and the F12 boot option is back on track and can be enabled via the BIOS config, as somebody else said.

    That's 1.09 up to now.

Download the BIOS .zip file from Acer. Unzip it and read the readme.txt. Run the executable file in the unzipped folder.

I have not updated my BIOS yet, not really sure which version I have now, but I am positive it is an older one.

Acer's website has 2 BIOS version 1.11's, one is 2.3MB and the other is 917.7KB, which one should I update my AOD 150 with?

Or should I update them in stages, starting from the next one up from my current BIOS file?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Mike.

Hi Aspire one users! I tried the BIOS 1.11 @ 2.3MB update and it fixed past issues with my aod150. I was on 1.09 and had issues with my power button. I had to press the power button twice just to turn on or off my netbook, but now, a single button press does the trick. I also noticed improvements in memory handling. F11 (full screen) seldom worked on my net browsers (especially when flash is present on the page) when I was on 1.09 but with 1.11 it never failed as much. I then tried upgrading to the BIOS 1.11 @ 917.7kb patch but it caused frequent monitor crashes (black blank screens). I reverted to the older BIOS 1.11 and now I'm back on a stabler system. Those were just some of the improvements that I noticed.

I hope this helped, especially for those who experience the same problems as I did.
