    Hello there,
    I bought a refurbished Acer Aspire 4315 notebook from dabs, put XP on it, works great and I love it but there is a little problem. Sometimes the screen would just go white. Well, hasn't happened while I'm doing something but sometimes when I switch it on or something. Doesn't happen a lot though but it annoys me a little.
    What I've done so far:
    * Updated BIOS
    * Checked RAM (Memtest)

    Does anyone know what could it be before I open it to see if the cable is loose?

    I re-plugged the cable at the back of the screen and at the motherboard and it seems to have fixed it. But now, another thing - I've a dead/stuck.. (I don't know) pixel, and currently I'm trying to get it back to work using UDPixel 2 and I'm going to let it run overnight. Anyway, has anyone solved a dead/stuck pixel here?

    I was wrong, that cable re-plugging thing didn't work! Contacted Dabs and I'm going to send it back and just get another laptop!
