I am trying to remove my laptop's damaged charge port. Problem is that I have not been able to melt the solder holding the pins. I've gone pretty high in temp and no success and I don't want to damage the board. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can try to add a bit of soldering "oil" or you can use soldering wire on soldering rod 0 just take a bit of it as a catalizator to start melting the rest...
