aspire d150 stuck in french

hi guys,awsome site,i just got a d150 from a freind that gave up on it.he couldnt get it to be in english and he tried so much stuff to fix it i think he screwed it up and didnt think he coud return it,i did a recovery and it still loads in french,i tried resealing the unit and still french,im at my wits end too,can u guys help at all,its running xp sp3.

Basics first:

Goto Start > Control Panel, then click on Region and Language Options. If you can't make it out in French, it's the icon that looks like a desktop globe on a stand. Open it and you will find a drop down to change the language settings, select english and then click OK. Restart and hopefully you will be reading english.

 

thats the prob,enlish isnt listed in there,i have read that once u load the os in a laungage ur stuk with it,is that true,i cant believe microsoft would do that or is it a aceer thing,can anyone help thanks
