    Hi all.

I have an Aspire one 721 and recently replaced its broken HD with a SSD. I had many issues with reinstalling windows 7 and restarted the netbook tens of times; also I upgraded the bios to last version. Finally i succeeded in reinstalling windows 7 but somewhere in this process - I do not know exactly where since I was working with AC plugged - the battery went dead. Now the netbook shuts down if I detach the power cord, the amber battery led does not light up, and software always shows "91%" (?) battery charge.

Is there a way to know if the battery is actually dead, so I can buy a replacement, or if it is the charging circuit that has failed, which I guess would be much worse?

    Thank you
