aspire one AOA150 very slow

ive had my aspire one AOA150 for about 18 months now. i have left it totally untouched ie still has standard factory settings and just use it for browsing the net and reading email.. i have nothing whatsoever stored on it like music or pictures .
i love this little netbook as it was so fast for about a year and instantly loaded web pages but now it takes ten seconds or more to load pages . also internet connection can often fail which it never used too .
im am not in least bit techy and have very basic skills... so i was thinking of installing the supplied recovery disc to get it back to what it used to be like for superfast browsing , or could it be some other issue slowing it down.
