Aspire one D260 freezes often

    hi all,

    I have D260 model which is now nearly 3 months old.

    Since last few days it freezes often while working. Some times it freezes with in few minutes of time interval and some times after an hour or so. And when it freezes, nothing works...not even the Ctrl+Alt+Del. If i wait for some time (say 30 secs to 3-5 mins) it unfreezes itself and I can continue working until it freezes again. I cant even see which processes as causing this because when it happens even the Task manager window doesnt respond.

    Initially it started with browser hang...but now whole system freezes. Since last couple of days even restart/reboot takes 10-15 min to load all application

    Is there any solution for this.

    I just use it browsing and and creating office docs.

    Aspire One D260
    Win XP
    1GB RAM

    To provide further information...

    I have ran spybot and cleared everything and use Avast anti-virus which also doesnt show any issue.

    Both C and D drives have nearly 40 Gb of free space

    Or reset the bios maybe?
