hi folks :D btw great topic..

so i want to supply some of my experience with the little AA1

first i couldn't believe my own eyes.. i installed madden 08 for a kind a joke, because i thought i knew that it never would run the game.. but i did
then i tried to set it up to the highest level of graphics and i works! 100 % smoothly without any lag..

absolutely the best looking game i have tried on the little pc... it's great :D

but i got a problem with the css.. it crashes every time i try to load it? hl2.exe fail? any one know how to fix it?

I also can confirm that Counter Strike: Source runs fine with the settings cranked down and using the CEVO FPS Configuration , though only small and simple maps like fy_iceworlds work.

Blockland runs OK in single player and in servers that don't have very many blocks.

James Bond Nightfire is pretty damned smooth without looking like utter crap.

To get CS:S running, set the launch options to "-dxlevel 70" and it should run.

I've been reading on the forums for a bit and I like what I'm hearing about all the games that can be played on this amazing notebook.
I have 2 questions. I want to buy a Aspire One. I can get my hands on a 160gig, 1gig Ram one at my local electronics store.
Is it really worth it to buy one? (I'm pretty much at yes, I just need a bit of intensive lol)

And also a lot of the games I want to play on it are very simple. More or less just animated comics rather then games.
The requirements really are very similar to one and other in all the different games I have. They look something like this:

    OS: Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP
    DirectX 8.0 or higher
CPU Pentium 300 mhz or better
    Memory 64 MB or higher
800x600 display resolution, full color, WAV capable sound card.

I just want to know if it's an ISO I should be able to mount it in DEAMON Tools right? And the Aspire One shouldn't have a problem running this right?
In fact it should eat toughs requirements for breakfast if it can run half the games everyone has been posting. I just need a definitive answers....

Should I get an Aspire One?
And Will it for sure run a game with the requirements posted above?

Thanks for your time and help everyone :)
