Half Life 1

1.5 GB ram (a110)

Runs perfect... don't know why people seem to be having a problem with this game, the only problem i've noticed is the exhaust vent getting VERY hot.

I'm using Ron's TinyXP if that will make a difference.

Runs fine (vent hot, same as above)

 

Just tried Flight Simulator 2002. Runs great with fairly high settings. The only one that really kills framerate is "terrain mesh complexity" above 70 - 80%. Otherwise it runs at 15-20 FPS even in complex areas.

Also tried FS2004 before, but found I had to reduce the settings too much. FS2002 looks better because you can use higher settings than FS2004.

 

tried CHAOS LEGION on winXP last night..... got a BSOD but it played fine up to that point....think it may have been the sound driver causing the problem.

Will try it again sometime....

I don't know the frames number, but it run and I can certificate (actually I have Played Almost 4 years on the manager mode)

Fifa 2008

Runs Almost like the Fifa 07 in thesame computer...

An the best... it has the "be a pro" mode, so...

With minimum and mid graphics it runs OK because You can controlate the memory on the graphic card it seems...

this is a great game I recommend it.

Battlefield Heroes doesn't run well at all. Don't bother.

Quake Live works flawless.

Anyone know how well games emulators run on the Acer Aspire A150? Such as N64 Ems or NO$GBA which is a DS emulator. I`d be more interested to know how the latter runs on an AAO.

Evil Genius - Required some tweaking.

My specs:
AOA 1.6gb, 1.5gb RAM, 120 GB HD.

What I did to get it to work (off CD). I hear Steam has it if you missed out.

First install the game and apply the patch (hosted by Evil Planet since Sierra is dead :cry: ). There are actually two different flavours of patches; one is for the States, the other is European.

Rename the file: c:\<Your path>\EvilGenius\ReleaseEXE\d3dx9d.dll to something else... (d3dx9d.dll-old)
Grab the universal res changer.
Extract the res changer to the directory where d3dx9d.dll was.
Run the resolution.ini
Change width to 1024
Change height to 600
Save

I had to disable shadows to get good fps.

Play... Cackle maniacally :twisted:.

Oh the patch may already be on the Steam version. I also hear the Steam version is the European version.

Just updating... as my bases grew bigger I discovered that I needed to reduce graphic settings.

Performance: very smooth with the lowest video settings, which means nothing, because the game doesn't have heavy graphics, but they are lineage2 style.

 

hmm .. i can run fs2004 almost perfectly , except it`s kinda hard to use the controls without a number pad .

 

Hi all.

FreeCiv works ok for me - as long as I close other applications first.

If I have Firefox open I get a virtual memory error when trying to run FreeCiv.

I'm running on the 512 meg 8GB AA1 with Win XP

just tried some old win95 games on my d250 running win7

MegaMan X3- FLAWLESS
Fatal Fury 3- some graphic anomalies and doesn't format to the screen correctly, but runs smooth.

other games:

freeware fighting game Vanguard Princess runs smooth on xp/vista running applocale, win7 after changing unicode support to japanese
not in english, but clicking on the big blue button is download

Melty Blood Act Cadenzza is 100% playable under win7 minus the intro video, even though it's just a standard mpeg file that will play in media player.

using a d250 with 2GB ram, 160GB hd, and a sega saturn usb gamepad.

Worms World Party - Can't get to start
Rome Total War - I know is suppost to work but get 'unable to find Direct X' error
Lego Racers - Works fine, but crashes randomly

^^ Obviously any help on those that don't work would be much appreciated. I went through the 36 Pages and I hope this helps someone! Apologies for the repeats.

I edited the settings.txt ... I tried fullscreen off, changed resolution... tried Shiftwindow...

 

Hey guys, I played a few games recently I havent seen mentioned on here:

Deer Hunter 2005
High Settings: Runs Flawless
Ultra Settings: Playable, at times can lag just a bit but it isnt really noticable

Phantasy Star Blue Burst
Medium Graphics: Playable, at times would lagg but most the time I can play the game its weird

SWAT 4
Graphics at High, Resolution 800x600: Flawless doesnt lagg one bit

1 gig of ram, an 8 gig ssd drive, windows xp pro service pack 3

 

I think you need to update Worms World party... And you need the files for your version of the game... US, England, or Poland...
