The requirements are so low, we are even able to play Torchlight on the netbooks around the office!

Its a diablo kinde game with cool grapics

 

Game: System shock 2 "one of the first realy good FPS-RPG's"

With extra mods: "shutup, rebirth, tacticool weapons & stray light"
Runs: small lags with hi texture scenes due to the 8MB video memory on the zg5...

I have Torchlight on my AAO since the first day. It work but is slow. Barely playable when lots of enemies on-screen. There are several posts in the official forums about that.

Im pretty sure I cudnt get secret files tunguska to work, did you have to do anything to get it running like editing any config files or anything. also its a shame trine wont run aswell.

 

I'm assuming these are on XP or Linux? Win 7 uses enough resources that games don't play great. It would be nice to see games that are played on 7, and what was tweaked on the Acers to get them to play without being choppy.

Win 7 is about on par with XP as far as resources, I'm running it on my AOA-150 without any hitches. I have tested several games thus far on Windows 7 and have no real issues, aside from needing to "run as administrator" certain executables

Lionheart & Red Faction are both running great under Win 7, and a couple others I haven't bothered to write about... the rest of the old XP games I still have to port over at some point (did a fresh install) as time permits, however I wouldn't expect to have any problems running any of them under Win 7 though.

 

I have noticed that I had to boot into safemode to install some of the older games. Anyone know why?

Virtual Skipper 5online/ America's Cup - works great
SWAT4 - works great
Sniper Elite - cannot open because error "unable to launch direct3d"

 

Not 100% sure here, but I noticed a couple of my games wanted to run @ 1024x768 by default, so I had to start in safe mode, run it and then change the resolution to 800x600 in the game's config.

 

i picked up Delta Force Black Hawk Down + Team Sabre expansion very cheap so I'm going to try them on my AAO over the holidays

also Panzer Elite Action plus expansion.

DFBHD requires 32Mb graphics card minimum
PEF requires 64Mb card minimum

so wish me luck
