I haven't gotten to Solstheim yet, but I remember back in the days when I first bought Morrowind, when I was also using intel integrated gfx, the outdoors on the island when it began to snow brought me into 3FPS range even though the rest of it was perfectly playable. That was the reason I bought my first video card.

I'd be amazed if there weren't similar slowdown on AAO in the snow as well.

    Game: Homeworld 2
    Ram: 1GB, 120GB hdd
Performance: Runs fine/atleast 25 fps @ medium-low settings, max resolution.
You just have to open your profile config settings manually(Homeworld2/Bin/Profiles/[profile name]/PLAYERCFG.LUA), and manually change the resolution to 1024x600.

Under the Linux distro I was not able to run the Wolfenstein Enemy Territory installer. But I was able to copy an existing installation onto a SD card and it played well. Infact the game played amazingly fast, the graphics are great. But I couldn't get any sound. I suppose I'd have to reconfigure the system sound like I've seen in other posts to get that to work. Anyways I recommend the game.

    OS: XP SP3
    RAM: 1Gig

    X-Com/UFO:

Tested all of them except for Enforcer which is anyway not worth wasting time on.

DosBox works perfectly for the older ones, but I use the XP versions of the games.

Interceptor runs nearl prefectly although it will get a random error after about an hour of play 30% of the time, just save regularly and you wont have problems other than its windows XP Jammer probe glitch.

These games to old for widescreen, but there is no noticable problems with displays.

Only spent about 20 mins each on these games but here are some results, sorry if they've already been posted:

    OS: XP SP3
    RAM: 1.5gb

    Worms Armageddon (Sold Out edition)
    Perfect at 1024x600

    Fallout
    Perfect at 1024x600

    Motorhead
All graphics on max, runs great at 1024x600 with only slightly sub-par framerates at the start of the race. Haven't tweaked the graphic settings yet to achieve 30fps+

    Rollcage
All graphics on max, runs great at 1024x600 with only slightly sub-par framerates at the start of the race. Haven't tweaked the graphic settings yet to achieve 30fps+

Wild Metal Country (free download from Rockstar website)
Perfect at 1024x600, game isn't as good as I remembered it though!

    Grim Fandango
Played the intro and got into the game but crashed as soon as I picked up the message from the tube. If anyone has any better luck please let us know how!

Then make a thread about it....not to mention why don't you list driver details how many viruses you may have if you tweaked the game ect..... instead of confusing readers of this thread with contradicting rants...

    Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business

Works perfectly. Nice and addicting game. Bought it from gog.com (drm-free download, $5.99) dunno if it's much different from regular release.

I'm working on getting Everquest working on mine. (a custom server, free)

A110, dual boot XP Pro SP2 / Linpus. 1GB ram. 16GB SSD with Transcend 16GB SDHC. Using fbwf ramdrive to speed up the SSD write on my 9GB partition for XP.

The folder for EQ is 4GB so I'm trying to downsize it first. Once I remove all the unnecessary files, I'm going to work on getting it to run right. Will probably have to use the older textures/models, and disable zone caching. Hoping it will work alright.

    Football Manager 2009

try with demo first to see if it works, saving buying or installing the full game if you have it already.

    so first install game

then download astray plus from here http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=18260

then set the resolution using astray to 1024x768

then right click on shortcut of fm, in target type -windowed -small_screen (make sure there is a space after the quote, otherwise wont work)

so it should look like this "C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\fm2009.exe" -windowed -small_screen

then it should work, only problem is that it is quite slow, the speed of the game is the same as any machine, but the loading time, mouse response, and button clicking response is slowed down

Games I have running which I know work (definitely reposts in some instances, maybe all)

1.6ghz, 160gb HDD, 1gb RAM, XP sp3, no discernably changed drivers that I know of..

Quake 3 Arena (as well as Urban Terror, mod of Q3A)
    -runs flawless, to my eye.
-customized resolution in the system menu, seems to be working
-online play works pretty excellent, wireless connection depending

    Audacity
-plays fairly well on lower settings, faster songs cause some "slowdown" (frame skipping)
-really only playable with mouse or advanced tilt buttons on keyboard

    Gish
-plays just fine.. too bad it's also fairly boring

Sam and Max (the 3D series from Steam)
-runs beautifully, some weird lag time when transitioning between areas but its slight

Doomsday Engine (doom 1 and 2, hexen, etc)
    -wonderful =]

However I can't get Counter Strike Source to play.. it crashes before even getting to the menu. I see the blue facade and the loading in the lower right, but then I get a black screen that is hard to alt-tab from..
