    Hi all,

    New to the forum.

Was hoping someone could help me out with a question. I have an Aspire One with Linpus Linus Lite v1.0.21.e installed on it. Is it possible to get an external wifi USB adapter, specifially the Alfa, to work with it?

The chipset is Realtek 8187L and I have read in some online groups that Linux supports this natively. However, when I plug the unit into the Acer, nothing happens on the Alfa (no lights).

There are drivers on the Realtek site for:
    - Linux driver for kernel 2.6.X
    - Debian 3.1 driver (kernel 2.6.13)

Do I need one of these, and if so, how do I go about installing them. I am also VERY new to Linux!

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Mark
