I bought and Acer Aspire One 8gb (Linipus) for my mother because i thought it
would be easy to use?!? (Which it is in some ways). But now that she is comfortable
with the programs pre installed and I have now installed a printer we find out that
the Mail program has no print function!!!!

Printing an email should be just as important as reading and writing
them. Please if anyone has a solution to this problem other than installing thunderbird
(my mom has just learned how to use Mail, and is a total beginner with any PC/Laptop)
{she resistant to learning everything all over again}).

Thank you for any help you can give me
    Constantin

Also there is no spellcheck in Mail either - why would Acer sell
a product with so many functions missing in the software?

Links in OneMail messages do not open. They merely take you to FF and give you a chance to type in the URL (which you can't see). Also the right-click 'Copy' option on the dd menu cannot be pasted.

The same thing applies to the xterm window. I am still unable to copy and paste at the root level (tried shift-crl-etc and the Insert key)

    And, as I type, I am seeing a spelling checker at work . . . .

OneMail is cute and suits the user very well. She doesn't want to shift to Thunderbird.

    Comments please?
