Aspire One Power Settings Lacking

I am most familiar with my Toshiba laptops which give pretty good control over your power settings. The app on the Aspire One is lacking in my humble opinion. You can't tell whether you are using full power, half power of the processor or whatever. Is there any app available that tells you more than what comes with the machine. Much appreciated. jack
