    Hi guys,

I was just raving to my friend this weekend about how good my Aspire One Pro is, when it just stopped working! I loaded Windows 7 onto the Netbook last week and have been very happy with the ressults and battery life. However, the netbook recovered from sleep, I went away to make a cup of tea and the laptop was then stuck on the PXE boot screen.

To cut a long story short, the hdd is no longer recognised in the BIOS. I've tried changing the SATA type to IDE, no joy.. reset all defaults.. no joy and am now a bit unsure as to what to try next.

I'm guessing flashing the BIOS may be a good option as the version on the Acer website is later than mine, but I have no idea how to do this with a USB.

    Can anyone help me??

    Thanks,

    M3ckon

Search these forums for "Blind Flashing".

Depending on your AAO model you could have a SATA HDD, which is very easy to plug into a desktop PC for diagnosis.
