Aspire One Release Dates

The AOA150X is the Xp Version.

 

Play.com (UK) now have a release date of 7/8/08 - will any other UK retailers be putting their release dates back ??? :?

 

amazon.co.uk have 11th August. why is the UK so slow lol

 

eWiz.com was shipping them on the 9th, then ran out of stock (They told me they had about 100 units) within the next 2 days. Fortunately I ordered mine on the 9th, because no other sites in the US are shipping them anymore, I believe they're all back ordered.

Mine should arrive before Friday this week. I'm pretty excited, just got a Dell XPS M1530 in yesterday, so I'll make a video and compare the two, and take loads of pics for all of you.

 

Here in Ontario, Canada we've got tons of the 8GB Linux versions and the Xp versions are set to hit on August 8th.

 

Do you know if it would be hard/impossible to ship anything from Canada to US? I called some places about the XP version (because I wanted the 120GB HDD since 8GB might not be enough for me) and they're not expecting them in until late August. Hopefully I wouldn't have to try this and they'll just arrive earlier than expected, but is this even an option?

That's still a couple of weeks before most other countries. What's up with Canada getting seemingly more stock, and getting it earlier, than most everyone else outside Taiwan? At very decent pricing, no less.

If any Canucks really do get there XP version next week, please confirm here.
