Aspire One wifi adapter dead? or software problem?

    ok so i have this netbook and i decided to install Win7 on it, i did and everything was perfect, well today i woke up and decided to use it, to my surprise i have no internet access, well no problem, i just reconnect to the network...WRONG. i cant seem to find any connections, the only one available is the LAN one, which i have disabled because of course i use wireless, i noticed the WIFI switch/ light is off and find it wont turn on, i tried pushing it fast and holding it in place but nothing. is the wireless card inside dead or is there something im missing?
