Aspire One wont run on battery???

Hi all,

I just got my AspireOne and when I first unboxed it I was very pleased with it in general. I've seen them before but never actually really got to use one. Anyways, I left for work with it plugged in to charge the battery. I got back, and tried to unplug it while it was on, but it just turns off. Linpus says the battery is 100%, but the netbook wont even turn on without being plugged into the wall. Am I missing something? I've taken the battery out a few times to see if I missed some kind of plastic to keep them from being connected but I see nothing. Help!!! This is the A110 model by the way. Thanks!
