Aspire One - XP Version

    How the heck do I make recovery disks? The Backup option is missing in the eRecovery application.

    thats what I have been trying to figure out.. I dont think they allow you to make recovery disk.. it is in your hard drive though.. to access the Acer eRecovery partition, hit Alt+F10 on boot screen(where you see the acer logo) and from there you can restore your OS.

    this is the only way to restore your system back to default that I only know...

    Oh crap, its like my old Thinkpad then. Its fine just so long as you don't ever replace the hard drive. It may or may not be fine if you dual boot linux. As long as you don't touch the restore partition I think it should be OK...

    I imagine you can order a restore DVD from Acer for a fee. That means you need a bootable external DVD drive though.

    I'd much prefer being able to do the restore from a USB flash memory. Bummer.
