    Hey,

Tried flashing BIOS 3309, it was "successful", while rebooting the screen went black and the fan was going full whack. Reboot, and voila... a brick.

Have tried the usual crisis disk method, it's doing absolutely nothing. Just sits there flashing at me, not even trying to access the flash drive.

Am I going to need a new motherboard or is there some other method?

    Cheers

Keep your eye out on ebay mate, you occasionally see SATA boards (assuming yours is a SATA board, SSD boards are no problem to get hold of cheaply) at circa £40. I sold my old board as spares/repairs for £15 and bought another board at £38. Not too bad imo.
